On March 15, an updated patent was issued to Theta Labs and its decentralized video streaming network. After 2020, video streaming is more important than ever, but it’s controlled by a handful of corporations. This creates a bottleneck in streaming bandwidth, as well as censorship concerns. Theta is another platform based on blockchain technology, and is hosted on thousands of individual computers around the world.
